The district's event announcement has a longer list. Badminton and disc golf are on it, along with physical activities for preschool-aged kids and hands-on demonstrations of Community Education classes. The idea is to show off the programs and services Community Education runs, and the event is open to everyone in the community, not just people already enrolled.

It's also a chance to take care of paperwork. The district said staff will be on hand to help people set up a Community Education account and register for classes. If you've ever thought you could teach one of those classes, you can ask about that too. There will be information about jobs with Bloomington Community Education, including teaching positions.

The space is a good fit for a gym-heavy open house. The Kennedy Activity Center is a fitness facility inside Kennedy High School, with 5 maple hardwood gym courts, a 1/7-mile indoor running track, a 5,000-square-foot fitness and weight room and 2 batting and golf cages, per the district. Outside of special events, it sells annual and monthly passes for the walking track and rents half courts on weekday evenings.

No registration is mentioned in the district's announcements, so you can just show up. Bring sneakers if you plan to get on a court.
