Bloomington is putting on a healthy living and sustainability resource fair at Penn Lake Library, 8800 Penn Ave., on Wednesday, July 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. The event is free and run by the city's public health, solid waste, and sustainability divisions, according to the Sun Current.
Expect tables on organics recycling and tips for trimming your energy bill, plus general healthy-living resources. The city is also giving away compost bins, light bulbs and water bottles at the fair, but only while supplies last, so show up early if you want the free stuff.
There's a second chance to catch the same city divisions if you miss this one: a follow-up event is set for Saturday, August 1, at noon at Smith Park, 8149 Park Ave. Details for both are available at tinyurl.com/b26fair.
