Friday was a gift: MSP hit 76° with a low of 56° and not a drop of rain. Saturday tries to keep that going, but it won't make it through the afternoon.
Overnight stays unusually comfortable, with a low around 62 under partly cloudy skies and a south-southeast wind around 15 mph. Saturday morning is the time to get outside. Expect mostly sunny skies and a high near 75, so if you're raking, running the trails, or getting the last yard work done, do it early.
Things turn after lunch. The National Weather Service gives a 50% chance of rain showers after 2pm, and temperatures are expected to slide to around 68 during the afternoon. Southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph could gust as high as 30 mph, which is enough to scatter leaf piles and make an umbrella more trouble than it's worth. Anyone with afternoon plans at a park or an outdoor game should have a backup.
Saturday night, the wind swings to the north-northwest at 5 to 10 mph, with a 50% chance of showers before 4am and a low around 47. Sunday stays mostly cloudy with a high near 54. So bring the jacket back out. Friday was the last of it for now.
