Thursday set the tone: MSP topped out at 75° after a morning low of 49°, with no rain. Friday looks like a near repeat. Expect a high near 74 under partly sunny skies, with a south-southeast breeze of 5 to 15 mph.
The catch comes after 3pm, when the National Weather Service gives showers a 30% chance. That's not a washout. It's enough to toss an umbrella in the car if you're planning a late walk at Hyland or Normandale Lake, or to give yourself a little extra time on the evening drive if the pavement gets wet.
Friday night stays mild for late October. Skies turn mostly cloudy and the low only drops to around 62, with a south-southeast wind around 15 mph. Overnight before sunrise should be mostly clear and about 56.
Saturday starts much the same, with a high near 75. Then the wind swings southwest, temperatures slip to around 68 in the afternoon, and the rain chance rises to 40% after 3pm. By Sunday, expect mostly cloudy skies and a high near 57. If you've got outdoor chores, Friday is the better bet.
