Some days are news because something happens. Today is news because nothing does, and it happens to be pleasant. The National Weather Service calls for sunshine and a high near 72 in Bloomington on Wednesday, with a south-southwest wind of 0 to 5 mph. That is about as calm as wind gets.
It's a small step up from Tuesday, when MSP topped out at 69 after a morning low of 46 and recorded no precipitation.
The overnight hours start out clear with a low around 47, and temperatures are forecast to climb back to around 50 before sunrise, so the morning commute shouldn't be bitter. Wednesday night turns mostly clear with a low around 48 and a northeast wind of about 0 mph. If you're planning an evening walk around Normandale Lake or a patio dinner, bring a jacket and you'll be fine.
The streak holds Thursday, with sunshine and a high near 74. Friday also reaches about 74 under mostly sunny skies, but the wind picks up: south-southeast at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Rake the leaves before then, or plan on raking them twice.
