It was about 10 p.m. on the Fourth of July when a man walked into the Holiday Stationstore at 7901 Nicollet Ave. and set a drink on the counter like any other customer. Instead of pulling out a wallet, he pulled a gun from his waistband, according to the Sun Current.
He threatened to shoot the 19-year-old employee working the register and demanded the cash inside, per the Sun Current. He got it, then ran north from the east side of the building.
A witness outside the store saw him leave with the gun still in hand, and surveillance video backed up the employee's account of what happened, the Sun Current reported. Bloomington police, under Chief Eric Kittelson, searched the area but didn't find him.
No arrest has been made and the case remains open, according to the paper. The amount of cash taken hasn't been disclosed.
