Bloomington will hold its Home Energy Workshop on Thursday, July 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Black Box Theater at Bloomington Civic Plaza, 1800 W. Old Shakopee Road. A panel of experts will walk residents through how to make a home more energy efficient, plan for electrification and add solar power, then take questions from the crowd, according to the city.
The city's Sustainability Department and Housing and Redevelopment Authority are behind the event, which the city bills as a chance for residents to leave with an actual plan for making their home more comfortable, healthy and sustainable rather than just a lecture. It's set up with room for peer-to-peer conversation alongside the expert panel, per the event listing.
Registration runs through Eventbrite, and the city hasn't listed a cost for attending. Residents with questions can reach the Sustainability Department at 952-563-4862 or [email protected].
