Nothing dramatic today. After a dry Thursday that topped out at 58° at MSP and bottomed at 43°, Friday runs a few degrees cooler: partly sunny, with a high near 54.
Overnight stays mostly cloudy with a low around 42 and essentially no wind. Today's breeze comes from the east-southeast at 0 to 10 mph, which is barely a breeze. Roads should be dry, and it's a fine afternoon for a walk around the lake or for raking the leaves you've been ignoring.
Tonight goes back to mostly cloudy with a low around 43 and an east-southeast wind around 5 mph. Friday-evening plans should work without an umbrella.
Looking ahead to Halloween: Saturday is cloudy with a high near 56 and a 30% chance of rain showers. Saturday night has a slight chance of showers before 7pm, at 20%, and a low around 51. That's mild for trick-or-treating, but keep a rain layer handy for early rounds.
Sunday warms to a high near 64 under partly sunny skies, easing to around 61 in the afternoon.
