The Mall of America has installed The Artful Arches, a series of modular, supersized archways and benches in bold colors and patterns, in the mall's Atrium. The piece runs April 24 through July 26, 2026, according to the mall's events listing.
The mall describes the piece as "grounded in accessible, inclusive and sustainable design," meant to give visitors different ways to experience the space through sound and texture, from chiming elements to soft absorptive foam. The installation was created by K-Works Studio, whose past work has turned discarded newspaper, mirrors and toilet paper rolls into large-scale public art. The benches in the piece were built from surplus retail materials donated to a Denver nonprofit that trains people on the autism spectrum in skilled trades, per the mall's artist statement on the installation.
There's no admission charge listed for The Artful Arches — it's a free, walk-through installation in the Atrium, open during regular mall hours through July 26.
