Mall of America has added Nickelodeon Summer Rewind Character Meet and Greets to its events calendar for July 25-26, giving families a shot at photos with Arnold from Hey Arnold!, who's marking the show's 30th anniversary this year, inside Nickelodeon Universe.
That's part of a bigger nostalgia push at the indoor theme park. After crowds responded well to throwback character appearances over spring break, Nickelodeon Universe said it expanded the concept into a summer-long celebration running through August, with meet-and-greets featuring the Rugrats, Jimmy Neutron, Cosmo and Wanda from The Fairly OddParents, and PAW Patrol characters, plus photo ops at recreations of the Double Dare podium, Pick-It Nose and Blue's Clues' Thinking Chair scattered around the park.
For the nostalgic set who grew up on the network rather than the current lineup, the weekend closes with a separate, ticketed after-hours event on Sunday, July 26, from 6 to 9 p.m.: a Q&A and meet-and-greet with Kel Mitchell of Kenan & Kel and Good Burger fame at the park's South Entrance, alongside more of the throwback photo ops.
