The Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Road Tour Special Edition opened Friday in Mall of America's Huntington Bank Rotunda. If you've got a kid, or you are one at heart, who still powers up with a yell every time something heavy needs lifting, you have through Sunday. "The DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 Road Tour is here!" the mall posted Friday. It listed hours of 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Sunday.
The main draw is a playable demo of the game. The mall says the rotunda also has a Bandai figure shop full of collectibles, an exhibit of the Dragon Ball Super Card Game and other merchandise, and a photo spot built around artwork from "Dragon Ball Super: Beerus." The mall first announced the stop earlier this week. Its event page lists the rotunda's address as 2131 Lindau Lane.
Bandai Namco's page for this stop lists some extras. Demo players get a lanyard, limited to 1 per person while supplies last. A hands-on station lets you build a Bandai Hobby Son Goku model kit. On the merch side, Bandai Namco lists figures of Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and Goku Black, along with Power Pole replicas. The weekend is already underway and the freebies are first come, first served, so get there early if you want one.
Now the cost: admission is free. The tour has 11 stops, and most of them sit inside ticketed events like Dream Con in Houston, Lost Lands in Ohio and the LA Auto Show. Mall of America is one of only a handful of free stops. The others are the Wine & Culinary Center in San Diego in July, King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania earlier this month and the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, Calif., in December. Bandai Namco's tour page lists a lanyard and a drawstring bag as this stop's giveaways, while supplies last. The figures in the shop cost money, of course.
It's a chance to play the game long before you can buy it. Xenoverse 3 comes out in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam. Bandai Namco describes it as a brand-new Dragon Ball world set in AGE 1000, where you build your own hero. If anime merch is your thing, the mall has more coming: the One Piece Card Game Mall Tour stops in Oct. 23–25.
