Monday did the heavy lifting: 0.57" of rain at MSP, with a high of 66° and a low of 57°. Today is the lighter, drippier follow-up.
Expect drizzle before 10am, then rain, under cloudy skies all day. The high is near 60° early, falling to around 57° by afternoon, with a northwest wind at 5 to 10 mph. Rain chances are 80%, but the National Weather Service puts new amounts at less than a tenth of an inch. Roads will stay wet and trails will stay muddy. Plan on wipers and a hood rather than an umbrella emergency.
Tonight the rain chance rises to 90%, again with less than a tenth of an inch expected. Lows drop to around 49°, then temperatures climb back to about 52° overnight on a north wind at 5 to 10 mph. Leave a little extra time for the morning commute.
Don't count on drying out soon. Wednesday has rain in the forecast with a high near 55°, and showers continue into Wednesday night. Anything left out on the deck can come in for the week.
